The Whitsundays College of English is located by the sea on the tropical North Queensland, in the township of Airlie Beach. The Whitsundays is a busy tourism region close to the famous Great Barrier Reef, 74 magnificent tropical islands, diverse rainforests, national parks & river eco-systems and a rich rural cultural history.

Climate

Average daily temperatures range from 25— 28°C in March, April, September and 23-25°C in June, July & August.
Average water temperatures remain a welcoming 20-25°C year round.

Accommodation Options
Choice of Homestay or Hotel Accommodation.
- Homestay
SACE manages and carefully monitors its’ own Homestay
Programme ensuring high standards are maintained at all
times. Homestay is based on full board in a single room
with breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner daily.
Shared rooms are available on request.
- Hotel

SACE also works with a leading Resort style Hotel who provides quality accommodation for our study tour groups in a tropical resort setting. Hotel rates are based on either twin, triple or quad share rooms with a delicious buffet breakfast, packed lunch and two course dinner daily.


Getting to the Whitsundays

The Whitsunday region is serviced by two commercial airports:

• The Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) - located a 30 minute drive from Airlie Beach.
• Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island) - located a 30 minute ferry ride from Airlie Beach.

Jetstar & Virgin Blue have flights from Sydney and Brisbane to the Whitsunday Airports. Qantas have direct flights from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef Airport - Hamilton Island.
